Photo: Climb Mount Kenya
Mount Kenya is Africa’s second-highest mountain, and trekking to Point Lenana (4,985m) is one of the continent’s most rewarding non-technical climbs.
The scenic Sirimon–Chogoria traverse passes glacial tarns, giant lobelia and Afro-alpine moorland before a pre-dawn summit. Good fitness and gradual acclimatisation matter more than technical skill.
