Getting around Kenya is easier than many first-time visitors expect, with a good network of domestic flights, road transfers and a modern railway linking the two biggest cities.
By air
Light aircraft link Nairobi's Wilson Airport with airstrips beside every major park, turning long drives into short hops. It is the fastest way to combine several parks.
By road & rail
Private 4x4 transfers with a driver-guide are the classic safari option, while the SGR Madaraka Express train connects Nairobi and Mombasa comfortably in around five hours.
